[Are you a furry?]
No I'm not, though I have no problems with Furries and many of my friends are.

[Will you be my friend?]
O...K.... this is always amusing and a bit bizarre for me, that someone can 'request' a friendship. I thought one built a friendship up, so that's how I do it. People almost always need to have made some form of contact with me beyond DevArt comments to be added to my 'friends' list, the best way is through Instant Messenger, or if you don't have that - email. But even then, lets not go 'assuming' I'm going to put you in my 'friends' circle… that decision is mine.

[What do you look like]
Why do you want to know? Seriously - what has my physical appearance got to do with anything?? Same goes for my age or my location?? You can ask… but don't get pissy if I don't tell you. I keep a lot private.

[Do you believe in God?]
First of all why does this matter? - second - Not the Christian God no, does this make a difference? I'm sure to some people it will, and for those who's next line will be 'You're gonna burn in hell' *yawn* Thanks for that, I'll log that away! But remember kiddies…its YOUR hell, YOU burn in it! To those who will not persecute me for my beliefs… I still prefer people don't ask too many questions, my beliefs are personal. If I chose not to go into depth… respect that.

[Do You Roleplay]
No I don't and have no interest in doing so.

[Are you single?]
No, I'm partnered and have been for a number of years. We live together and that's not about to change. I'm NOT looking for anyone else!

ART & WRITING

[Can I use your artwork?]
Ask me! It will depend on what you want to use it for and there ARE rules to this, please check out my policy on [Usage]

[Do you ever do CG artwork?]
Sometimes... rarely... I don't believe I have a knack for it and I do prefer traditional methods. I have however purchased a graphics tablet that I might start practicing on but nobody hold their breath!

[Where do you get ideas for your chars?]
Almost all of my characters are a representation of pieces of my own Psyche, hence why Art Theft can be so infuriating! They are pieces of ME and since I prefer to draw animals / anthros they are in those styles.

[Where did you learn to draw?]
I just drew what I liked... I liked animals so I would draw them. My dad would then correct my work and show me how to improve in certain ways and I would take that into my style. I think most people learn to draw by just practicing, I used to draw my pets to help me get detail down.

[I posted a picture, will you look at it?]
If there is an actual reason for me to look - eg you want critique or help etc, or it was inspired by a convo between us - sure. But DON'T send me links constantly of images you uploaded just because: a) I haven't commented b) haven't added you to my watch-list so will definitely not have see it!

[Why do you draw vent art]
Do I actually need to spell this out? Because sometimes I need to VENT!!! It can be a little safer and more legal than releasing negative emotions on people in the street!

[I like your characters, can I draw your characters?]
The rule of thumb with this is… always ASK me first! As a gift art, this is fine so long as you draw my characters in respectable scenes. To draw them for your own practice or just because you want to, if you ask me I will more than likely say yes and will even give you a few additionals regarding them. ALWAYS include a copyright note on your art and/or description stating who the character belongs too.

[Why don't you post some of your scripts or writings?]
To say I'm protective of it, is an understatement and since there are more thieves than brain cells floating about DevArt I'd rather not EVER risk it. And if someone did steal it I would have to come for them… seriously… with a big heavy axe… if you think I'm joking then you don't know me very well…

[Can I read your stuff?]
No. My best friend gets to read it because I trust him completely, everyone else. Very VERY unlikely! So, don't ask!

[Why haven't you added me to your watch list?]
I have no rule anywhere stating that just because you added me to your DevArt watchlist, I'm adding you. Maybe you think that's mean, then again the fact you want to be added JUST because you added me is a little… pushy? I have a LOT of people on my watchlist, I chose them because they are either my friends or I like/admire their art. However I can not add EVERYONE I like to my watch-list because then I'd get a LOT of deviations to look through every day…and I don't have that kinda time. The major rule of thumb is : push me about this…and I'll NEVER add you!

[Why have you taken me off your watchlist?]
Every few months or so I do a clean out, I trim down my watchlist of people who I either no longer want on there or who have ceased to use their Deviant Art page. I will also remove you if I get multiple deviations daily from you and/or if you upload alterations of the same image over and over. Can get tedious to look at!

ART TRADES / REQUESTS / COMMISSIONS

[Can we do an Art Trade?]
Most of the time my art trade status is open but to be sure, check out my [DA Journal]. If I'm accepting, make sure you read the Art Trade information carefully as I have some rules regarding them these days.

[Why don't you post out Art Trades?]
I am aware some people like to receive their art trades in the post - if you're one of these, you probably wont want to do an art trade with me. I don't send them out because
a) after a while the international postage really starts to mount up.
b) I like to keep the originals
c) My commissioners get the bonus of receiving what they paid for through the post, so I prefer to limit it to just commissioners.
d) Don't offer to send your half either, I do not give out my postal address not even to receive gift/art trade copies.

[Why do I have to upload my half first?]
Unfortunately due to past experiences of not receiving art trades this rule has now been imposed. My patience is not infinite and it does start to get to me - because of this I made the rule that unless you're my friend or we've done art trades before, you have to post yours first. If you want you can wait til I've finished mine before you post yours, but I will NOT upload mine until you have. Don't like this rule? Fine - don't ask for an art trade!

[Do you do requests?]
No - No and NO - I don't have the time, or the inclination to be that generous! When I AM generous… its when I want to be, with those who are usually close friends or if I am inspired. Do NOT ask for requests… ever!

[If I do gift art for you will you do some for me?]
No - what you suggested was more art trade than gift art. Gift art is a GIFT… e.g. items given without expecting anything in return… if you're planning to do something, expecting something in return then its NOT a gift!

[Can I commission you?]
Again check on my [DA Journal] to see if I'm accepting. If I am, make sure you read the Commissions. If I am not accepting, you can still email me with a request and I can put you on a pending list. I will take no money from you until I am 'Accepting' again.

EMAIL / MESSENGERS

[Can I add you to my IM?]
Yes I have two Instant Messengers, both can be found on mye [Contact Me] page. Only add me if you will actually make some form of contact that goes more than once a year. Always identify yourself, and where you're from (eg DevArt) otherwise I may get a little bitchy.

[Why aren't you on IM?]
The internet does not rule my life. I have a house, a job, not to mention art and writing that I have to sort through and create so my time isn't free to just sit online for hours at a time. I also share the computer with my partner who also uses it. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to be overwhelmed by message windows.

[Can I email you sometime?]
Sure. The policy with emails is the same as that of Instant Messenger above. I actually love getting emails and like long ones were people talk about interesting stuff, so that I can reply with a long one too and have some good email-convos. If all you are going to send me is a line or two every time, especially if its 'how's you?' then don't bother!
